Ghanaian actor Prince Kwame Amoabeng, better known as Jeneral Ntatia, has urged the public to stay firm in holding politicians accountable.
Jeneral, who campaigned for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the previous elections, spoke on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, expressing his commitment to speaking truth to power. Despite facing criticism for calling out the NPP's unfulfilled promises, he remains steadfast in his mission.
He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to move beyond blind allegiance to political parties, urging people to speak up when things go wrong. He recounted instances where some criticized him for challenging the NPP, arguing that it's better to support and criticize simultaneously than to silently endure mismanagement.
Regarding his future political support, Jeneral mentioned needing time to assess manifestos before deciding. Having studied Theatre Arts at the University of Ghana's School of Performing Arts, he has become a prominent comic actor in Ghana. His filmography includes notable titles like 'Keteke', 'Kalybos in China', 'Chaskele', and 'Mad House'.
In recent years, he has ventured into stand-up comedy, a field he previously avoided. In theatre, his performances in plays such as 'Second Coming of Nkrumah', 'The Leopards Choice', and 'Adam in Court' have left a lasting impact on audiences. Jeneral Ntatia continues to be a versatile and influential figure in Ghana's entertainment industry.
