Following preliminary investigations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has cancelled 10 Service Passports.

The Ministry says the passports were part of a criminal passport-for-sale scheme that has been operating since 2023, and were allegedly issued illegally to individuals who were not qualified to hold them.

The affected passports were allegedly issued in exchange for money paid to a syndicate operating within the passport administration system, according to the Ministry's statement on Sunday, November 8.
