
Justin Kodua retains position as NPP General Secretary

Justin Frimpong Kodua will serve another term as General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after securing a decisive victory at the party’s National Delegates Conference in Kumasi.
Mr Kodua polled 4,486 votes in the election held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
He was followed by former Ngleshie Amanfro MP, Sylvester Tetteh, who obtained 1,340 votes. Eugene Boakye Antwi polled 162, while Dr Charles Dwamena secured 126 votes.
Meanwhile, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu has been elected the NPP’s National Youth Organiser.
He won the position after polling 1,550 votes in the contest involving six aspirants at the same conference.
Clement Opoku Gyamfi came second with 631 votes, while Michael Osei Boateng secured 78 votes.
Vera Oye Bram-Larbi polled 44 votes, Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei Asamoah, the former Deputy National Youth Organiser, obtained 46 votes, while Alfred Kumi Ababio recorded 25 votes.
The elections formed part of the NPP’s exercise to elect its new national executives to lead the party’s affairs.
