British-Ghanaian music group, The Compozers, paid a courtesy call to the Jubilee House—Ghana’s presidential palace—before their much-anticipated concert in Accra.

They were warmly received by Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Director of Diaspora Affairs at the Office of the President. The meeting reflected the government’s commitment to supporting Ghanaian talents in the diaspora and encouraging their contributions at home.

KOD highlighted the power of music as a tool to project Ghana’s image to the world. He also discussed potential collaborations with the group, including plans to host masterclasses for young Ghanaian musicians.

The visit took place on Friday, April 25, 2025, ahead of The Compozers’ successful concert held on Sunday, April 27 at the Pink Flamingo, Laboma Beach in Accra. The show attracted a huge audience and was put together by Akwaaba UK, a top event organizing company.

Joining the band at the Jubilee House were Akwaaba UK executives DJ Mensah (Michael Ayenu Mensah), Victor Kwasi Darko Nsebi, and Daniel Kusi Otchere, further strengthening ties between Ghana and its global creative community.

Speaking about the meeting in a post on Instagram, KOD reiterated that "Ahead of their concert in Accra tonight, I had the pleasure of welcoming The Compozers, the talented British Band of Ghanaian hermitage - to the Jubilee House."

According to him, "With over 9 years of friendship and collaboration with them, I reaffirmed the Diaspora Office's commitment to supporting their journey in Ghana and beyond."

He added that "We also discussed using music as a powerful platform to project Ghana to the world, and the exciting opportunity to organize masterclasses for our local artists, helping them access the global stage."
