Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his satisfaction with his team's accomplishments, despite the 0-0 draw against Persepolis in the AFC Champions League on Monday.
In the match played on their home turf, Ronaldo's squad failed to secure a goal, even after being granted a penalty in the early stages when the Portuguese star was fouled in the box.
Notably, the 38-year-old personally informed the referee that no foul had occurred, leading to a VAR review that ultimately reversed the decision.
Despite taking just a point from the game, Ronaldo expressed his delight on social media. He wrote, "Happy that we qualified first in our group and to have achieved 20 games unbeaten. Great Teamwork."
The draw secured Al-Nassr's advancement to the knockout stage of the AFC Champions League.
They are set to lead the group, as Persepolis trails by five points with only one match remaining in the competition's initial round.
Looking ahead, Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates aim to sustain their unbeaten streak as they resume Saudi Pro League play against Al-Hilal on Friday.
Notably, Al-Hilal currently holds the top spot in the league, maintaining a four-point lead over Al-Nassr.
