Country music singer Toby Keith passed away at 62, as reported on his website. He had said before that he had stomach cancer, which he called a very tough battle. He handled his fight with grace and dignity. He had a long career of more than 30 years and released popular songs like Who's Your Daddy and Made in America. He is survived by his wife, Tricia Lucus, and has three children. Keith said he was getting treatment for his cancer, including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. He said he was okay with whatever happened with his illness. He was born in Oklahoma and worked in oil fields and played semi-professional American Football before becoming a musician in the 1990s. His first song Should've Been a Cowboy came out in 1993 and was a big hit. The song makes the cowboy life seem really cool, and mentions famous singing cowboys Gene Autry and Roy Rogers. Later albums also had Blue Moon, Pull My Chain, and Unleashed. Keith often sang about being proud of his country in his songs. Some people didn't like his song "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue" because they thought the lyrics were too aggressive. This song came out right after the 9/11 attacks. The Dixie Chicks did not like the song. The fight went on for many months before Keith said there were more important things to think about. Over the years, he performed at events for many US presidents, including George W Bush. Barack Obama and Donald Trump. Barack Obama and Donald Trump are two different presidents of the United States. In 2021, Mr Trump gave Keith a special award for his work in the arts.
