An X (formerly Twitter) user has shared a picture of a billboard with images of about 20 Israeli children who are reported to have gone missing as the Israeli-Hamas war wages on.

The missing children in the Israeli-Hamas war are a tragic consequence of the conflict that erupted on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing and abducting hundreds of civilians.

Among the 242 hostages, 37 are children aged 18 or under, according to the Hostage and Missing Families Forum, a group set up to demand the return of those kidnapped on October 7.

Adopting several means of urging the release of their children, such as posting their photos and names on social media platforms and using hashtags like #BringBackOurChildren, #FreeTheHostages, and #StopHamasTerror, one of these billboards displaying images of the alleged abducted children has been spotted in a part of Accra and this has garnered several reactions where netizens have attacked Ghana as "hypocritical".
