A man, believed to be in his 70s, was discovered dead in a sitting position in a gutter at Kasoa-Opeikuma Junction in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
According to gathered information, the deceased, who was not a resident of the area, was observed wandering the streets on Sunday, April 28.
Some residents interacted with him, during which he mentioned that he was searching for someone who had gone missing.
Due to his age, he caused significant traffic on Sunday night while attempting to cross the Opeikuma road, but was aided by a kind passerby.
To the surprise of many residents, they awoke on Monday, April 29, to find the man seated in a gutter, partially unclothed, and deceased.
The police were notified of the incident and arrived at the scene to transport the body to the Winneba Special and Trauma Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation.
Meanwhile, both the police and residents are collaborating to locate the family of the deceased, as he is not from the area.
