1 min readThe Minister for Roads and Highways, Governs Kwame Agbodza, on Friday, visited four big bridge construction sites in the Savanna and Northern Regions to see how the work is going.

These bridges at Buipe, Yapei, Daboya, and Nawunu—are part of a bigger plan to improve road connections in the northern parts of Ghana.

He was joined by his deputy, Alhassan Suhuyini, and some engineers. Together, they also checked on work being done on the Binjia-Fufulso road and roads within Damango town.

The Minister, who is also the MP for Adaklu, said he was happy with the progress and promised the chiefs and people in the area that the government will make sure the bridges are completed.

He’s on a four-day tour to check road works in the Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West Regions.

During the tour, he will also visit the Yaa Naa and inspect more road projects like the Sawla-Wa road, the Wa-Bolgatanga-Tamale road, the Nalerigu-Tamale road, the Wapuli Bridge, the Tamale-Yendi-Tatale road, and the Tamale Ring Roads.
