Renowned activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor, known for leading movements like #FixTheCountry and #OccupyJulorbiHouse, has accused the National Security of targeting social media influencer Albert Nat Hyde known popularly as Bongo Ideas. This action allegedly stems from Bongo Ideas' criticism directed at Ghana's First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Bongo Ideas recently made claims about Rebecca Akufo-Addo, including an alleged secret affair with President Akufo-Addo despite his legal marriage to his first wife. Additionally, he stated that after 26 years of marriage, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has not borne any biological children for Nana Akufo-Addo.

In response, Barker-Vormawor highlighted that Bongo Ideas' comments led to his detainment by the State. Barker-Vormawor emphasized that the First Lady, despite her position, is not beyond criticism as she is not divine.
The situation underscores ongoing tensions regarding freedom of speech and government accountability in Ghana.
