US-based Ghanaian musician and social media personality Archipalago says he was the first person in Ghana to use video blogging to talk about national issues.

In an interview on Accra FM with Nana Romeo, he shared that he started posting video commentaries as far back as January 2009.

According to him, this marked the beginning of vlogging in Ghana, and many of today’s popular content creators followed the path he created.

Archipalago also claimed that he helped shape the careers of influencers like Zionfelix and others who are now big names online.

He firmly believes he played a key role in making vlogging popular in Ghana, saying he introduced the concept before it became a common trend.

Known for being outspoken, Archipalago also criticized how some Ghanaians living abroad use social media.

He said instead of using the platform to promote the country positively, many engage in content that, in his view, damages Ghana’s image.
