A fire that broke out in a residential building near Mallam Atta Market in Accra on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, has been fully extinguished by firefighters.
The blaze severely damaged eight rooms on the upper floor of the building.
Thanks to the prompt response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), seven rooms and their contents were saved from further destruction. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to other parts of the building and minimizing overall damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
