Barcelona's coach, Xavi, admitted uncertainty regarding the possibility of signing Neymar before the transfer window closes.

Neymar reportedly expressed his desire to depart from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, with Barcelona allegedly being his preferred destination once again.

However, the financial constraints faced by Barcelona could complicate the process, as acknowledged by Xavi on Tuesday.

"Neymar? I can't say anything. Last year, I already mentioned the name of a player from another team, and they got angry.

"From here until the end of the market, we'll see," Xavi said following Barcelona's 4-2 win over Tottenham in the Joan Gamper Trophy.

Barcelona is nearing the departure of Ousmane Dembele to PSG, as the French player is expected to finalise a transfer worth €50 million (£43 million/$55 million) to the French club in the upcoming days.

Ansu Fati's departure is also a possibility, given that Financial Fair Play regulations might compel Barcelona to offload their talented young forward.

The financial constraints faced by Barcelona are evident this summer, leaving them with limited funds for expenditures. It remains uncertain if they can manage to bring back a player who departed from Camp Nou in 2017.
