Arsenal's defender Takehiro Tomiyasu, has extended his contract by two years.
The 25-year-old Japanese international, whose existing agreement was set to end in 2025, has now committed until 2026, with the possibility of an additional year.
Tomiyasu, who joined Arsenal from Bologna in 2021, has featured in 73 matches across all competitions for the Gunners.
"Together with his natural ability and strength, Tomi's attitude, mentality and values are first-class," said manager Mikel Arteta.
"Tomi is loved by everyone and has been an integral part of the squad since joining us.
"The way he trains, with his desire and determination to be the best version of himself every day, is admirable."
Tomiyasu, versatile across the defensive line, has featured in 20 matches for Arsenal across various competitions this season. He netted his debut goal for the club during a commanding 5-0 victory against Sheffield United in October in the Premier League.
With 10 games left in the season, Arsenal currently lead the Premier League table on goal difference as they strive to clinch their first title since 2004.
Additionally, they are set to encounter Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of the Champions League next month.
