Former West Ham star Joe Cole has showered praise on Mohammed Kudus for his exceptional performance in the club's recent 3-1 Europa League triumph against TSC Backa Topola.

Kudus, who made his first start since his £38 million summer move from Ajax, played a crucial role in West Ham's remarkable comeback win.

His determined effort at the back post directly contributed to the equalising goal, and he later found the net with a header from a James Ward-Prowse corner at the London Stadium.

Cole has expressed his belief in Kudus as a valuable addition to David Moyes' squad, underscoring the team's heightened goal-scoring potential.

"He [Kudus] looked like he was happy and settled," Cole said on TNT Sports.

"He is another weapon for David Moyes

"I look at this team, and I see goals everywhere. It was a great night for West Ham."

Following his impressive brace on Thursday, Kudus has now notched up an impressive total of five goals in his last two European matches.

Before making the switch to West Ham, the talented midfielder had already showcased his prowess in European competitions while playing for Ajax. In a notable display, he scored a remarkable hat-trick in the Europa League qualifiers against Ludogorets Razgrad.

During his time at Ajax, Kudus left a lasting mark in European competitions, finding the net nine times in just 18 appearances.

As West Ham gears up to take on Liverpool at Anfield this Sunday, it's highly likely that Kudus will be vying for a spot in the starting lineup in the Premier League clash.
