Chef Smith embarked on this culinary journey on February 1, 2024, seeking to surpass the previous record set by Canadian-based Nigerian, Beauty Obasuyi, who cooked for an unofficial 448 hours.Originally aiming for a 30-day feat, Chef Smith extended his challenge to a staggering 50 days after witnessing the completion of female chef Faila's cook-a-thon, which ended on January 10, 2024, amassing an impressive 227 hours in just 10 days.While Faila's attempt fell short of the Guinness World Record (GWR) criteria, Chef Smith's endeavor, set to conclude on March 6, 2024, promises to be a groundbreaking achievement.
