The Executive Chairman of McDan Group, Daniel McKorley, has revealed that his fear of financial struggles in marriage made him postpone settling down.
Speaking at the 2025 PCH Hangouts event at the ICGC New Wine Temple in East Legon, McDan shared that growing up, he witnessed men physically abusing women over money and women verbally attacking men for the same reason. These experiences made him wary of marriage.
"I couldn’t marry early because I was afraid of 'chop money.' I grew up in an environment where you could see a man physically abusing a woman because of money, and a woman verbally abusing a man because of money," he confessed.
He further advised that financial stability is crucial before getting married.
“If you don’t have money, don’t marry. Marriage without money can derail you,” he cautioned.
Reflecting on his own life, McDan explained that he chose to wait until he was financially secure before tying the knot, believing that money plays a significant role in a successful marriage.
