Alan Kyerematen had been among the top five candidates in the presidential race and was poised to participate in the final selection on November 4, 2023. However, he secured the third position on the ballot list after receiving less than 100 votes out of over 900 cast during the August 2023 Special Delegates conference.He trailed behind Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
