Prestea-Himan residents in the Western Region on Thursday, September 7, 2023, staged a street protest to demand immediate repairs to a deteriorating 19-kilometer road connecting the town to the municipal capital in Bogoso.

The residents emphasized that the poor condition of the road has effectively isolated their community from the municipal capital, and despite numerous appeals to the government for its reconstruction, their pleas have gone unanswered.

During the protest, participants donned red attire and carried placards conveying their plea as they marched through two towns.
