The National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has revealed that, for the first time, the party has won several constituencies it has consistently lost since 1992.Addressing the media at the headquarters of the party, he attributed the victory to God's grace and the united efforts of patriotic Ghanaians, adding that the people have clearly lost faith in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, this unexpected victory has left some of the executives of the party awe over the results tropping in from different constituencies.He emphasized that the NDC's victory is certain and urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to promptly announce the party's flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, as the winner of the just ended 2024 elections.

"We have won in constituencies that the NPP has never won since the 1992 elections and it is unimaginable, unbelievable and incredible that even some of us struggle to believe. The scale of the victory that God has graced us with and the people of this country," he added.Mr.

Gyamfi urged NDC members to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process by closely monitoring the transport of ballot boxes and other election materials to the constituency collation centres. He highlighted the critical role of accompanying Electoral Commission (EC) officials during this stage, as it is when the results are compiled and announced.
