Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur, Fella Makafui, has revealed that her ex-husband and rapper, Medikal, lacked the courage to stand by her during her caesarean section.
Speaking to Pulse Ghana in an interview, the divorcee mentioned that she was advised by her doctors to undergo the procedure because they noticed her baby (now Island) could not turn well enough in her womb.
Hoping for emotional support through the process, Fella said the doctors asked Medikal, who was her husband at the time, to stand by her in the same room as the caesarean section was being done.
But according to Fella, Medikal could not endure the experience of being present during the period.
"My partner then was asked to be inside but I think he was scared so he was outside, and they just rushed the baby to him. It was a very good experience,” she said.
According to Fella, she went through hell during her pregnancy journey.
She said she used to even cough up blood.
“The first 3 months were hell for me, I was literally sick. I lost weight because I had zero appetite. I could cough and cough blood, it was that bad. Along the line, I had to do CS because Island couldn’t turn well. I didn’t want to do CS, I wanted to deliver a normal birth, but I had no choice,” she stated.
