Bruno Fernandes has been appointed as the permanent captain of Manchester United, taking over the role just days after Harry Maguire was removed from the position.

The club has officially announced that Bruno Fernandes will lead the team as captain for the upcoming season.

Throughout last season, the midfielder took on the responsibility of wearing the armband on many occasions, as Harry Maguire faced challenges and eventually lost his place in the starting lineup.

Last week, Maguire disclosed that he had been informed by manager Erik ten Hag that he would no longer be the captain of the club.
