The lifeless body of an unidentified woman in her forties has been discovered in Koforidua Asokore, located behind the Odomankoma block factory in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region.Residents of the area made the grim discovery around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11.

In response to a distress call, officers from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the municipality swiftly arrived at the scene, accompanied by police personnel from the Effiduase district command.The exact cause of death remains unknown as the police have initiated their investigative procedures. However, the residents of the area are growing increasingly concerned, as this marks the third such incident in less than a month.

In the previous month, two women were tragically murdered by unidentified assailants.Confirming the incident to Citi News, Kankam Twumasi Daniel, the New Juaben North Deputy Municipal Director of NADMO, disclosed that the deceased's body has been taken to the St. Joseph Hospital morgue for a thorough autopsy.

He stated, "Around 7 pm yesterday, we received a call that the dead body of an unidentified lady in her forties has been found behind Odomankoma block factory at Asokore. A team of NADMO officials and the Ghana Police Service was organized to convey the body from the place to St. Joseph's mortuary. The case is under investigation by the Police."
