The curfew will run daily from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM and was introduced following advice from the Oti Regional Security Council to address security concerns.A statement signed by the Ministry's Chief Director, Doreen P. The government also reminded the public of the ongoing ban on the possession of weapons, including arms and ammunition, within Nkwanta and nearby areas. Fear has gripped the area as clashes have continued, with sporadic gunfire reported. Videos obtained by Citi News show gunshots and widespread property damage.The conflict is believed to be tribal, involving the Challa and Adele on one side and the Achodes on the other.

The violence has displaced about 200 residents, forcing them to flee to nearby towns such as Pampawie, Ahamansu, and areas within the Kadjebi District, which has become a refuge for many.
