Obaapa Christy recounted how one of the stylists informed her that a visitor was waiting for her outside while she was braiding her hair in a salon at Sofoline (Kumasi).

She went out to greet him/her in the hopes of exchanging pleasantries because she initially assumed it was an old acquaintance or one of her many devoted followers, but to her utter amazement, it was Daddy Lumba.

According to Obaapa Christy, Daddy Lumba paid her the surprise visit just to express his love and admiration for her unmatched musical talent.

Going deep into the conversation that transpired between them, she also revealed that at one point, the popular musician threatened to “BEAT HER” if she ever responded to conversations around her then “unsuccessful marriage”.
