1 min readAshanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, claims to have told Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, of his fate in the Super Delegates Conference even before voting began.Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia won the super delegates conference held on Saturday, August 26th, with a total of 629 votes, representing 68.15% of the total valid votes.Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong came in second with 132 votes.

According to Mr Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi, he had made Kennedy Agyapong aware of being ranked second before the race began."Kennedy, the time I was coming. I told him he will be second. I spoke to Kennedy today. He is my brother. I told him he will be second and to me, he is my brother and I will always say the truth," he said.

Speaking to Good Evening Ghana’s host, Paul Adom-Otchere, Chairman Wontumi noted that the best decision for Kennedy Agyapong would have been for him to run as the Vice President's running mate."He should have looked for running mate because Bawumia will beat him," he said.
