The General Headquarters (GHQ) Medical Office Complex at Burma Camp has been given a significant facelift, marking a new chapter in the Ghana Armed Forces’ drive to improve healthcare and administrative services within the military.

Commissioned on Wednesday, 30 April, by the Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, the refurbished facility is expected to boost both the efficiency of healthcare delivery and the administrative operations of the military’s health system.

The upgrade forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen the Ghana Armed Forces' medical infrastructure and enhance the welfare of military personnel.
2
It also reflects an institutional commitment to providing quality health services that support operational readiness across various commands.
3
The commissioning also served as a platform for the Minister to outline the government’s ongoing support to the field medical office in Tamale and its plans to complete the Afari Military Hospital in Kumasi before the end of the year.
