2 mins readA high-powered FIFA delegation is expected in the country this week to finalise the composition of a Normalisation Committee to steer the affairs of Ghana Football. A highly-placed source has revealed this to Graphic Sports Online. The source said the FIFA team are scheduled to do due diligence on all the nominees proposed by government to form the Normalisation Committee before arriving at a firm conclusion.

The source said the FIFA team would, therefore, embark on a one-on-one encounter with each of the nominees and also do a background check on them before deciding on their fate. However, the source assured that the selected personalities were men of integrity who have the interest of both Ghana Football and the nation at heart.

It said the government was determined not to let Ghanaians down after coming thus far in its bid to chart a new course for Ghana Football to the satisfaction of all. All things being equal, the Normalisation Committee will officially be named by FIFA by the close of the week after the screening. The source, however, declined to drop any name till the process is over.

Ghanaians have been anticipating the formation of the Normalisation Committee to take over the daily administration of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and also initiate reforms to clean the system of bribery and corruption.
