A family in Bibiani Old Town, whose house was mysteriously burned down, has turned to a local fetish priest for help and protection.

The family believes that the gods set fire to nine of the fifteen rooms in their house as a punishment.

After a spiritual consultation, the family sought assistance from Nana Baffour Gyau, a local fetish priest, who moved into the house to continue spiritual exercises to prevent further mysterious burning incidents.

The priest mentioned that it would take time and rituals to prevent additional problems, such as money going missing.

"Right now, it’s been agreed that I move into the house which I have started what I have to do. The fire outbreaks have stopped. But the money that goes missing will take a while before it will stop. But before it will stop, I have to cleanse the house and pacify the gods else it won’t stop," he said.
