1 min readA devastating car crash on the Accra-Apam highway on Saturday, May 25, 2024, has resulted in the death of blogger and publicist John Claude Tamakloe, while leaving renowned Highlife musicians KK Fosu and Bless with serious injuries.Tamakloe, who was accompanying Bless as his videographer, died instantly when their Toyota Camry collided head-on with a Benz attempting to overtake another vehicle.

The driver of the Camry, Nana Obiri Yeboah, explained that they moved to the shoulder of the road to avoid the errant driver, who ended up crashing into their car."We moved to the shoulder of the road to allow the errant driver to pass, but he ended up crashing into our car," explained Nana Obiri Yeboah in an interview with MzGee, recounting the moments after regaining consciousness.

"The three passengers had already been rushed to Apam Hospital when I regained consciousness. After securing our belongings, I quickly made my way to the hospital.""KK and Bless suffered broken legs, with Bless's injury being more severe. Unfortunately, the other passenger, an aide to Bless, passed away on the spot," he added.Yeboah, who regained consciousness after the crash, recounted the chaotic moments that followed.

KK Fosu and Bless were rushed to Apam Hospital with broken legs, while Tamakloe tragically died at the scene. Bless sustained a particularly severe leg injury.The group was enroute to perform at a wedding when the tragedy struck, marking a somber day for the Highlife music community.
