After his recent election as the NPP's presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia made an unexpected visit to Kennedy Agyapong, the Assin Central MP, who secured second place in the primary. The meeting, conducted over dinner on Wednesday, aimed to rekindle the camaraderie between the two politicians.

Dr. Bawumia plans to visit other aspirants who participated in the primary, striving to mend relationships and foster unity.

Commending the Vice President's actions, Koku Anyidoho drew parallels between this gesture and similar efforts he witnessed under the late former presidents Rawlings and Atta Mills within the NDC. He noted their endeavors to bring about harmony and unity, a contrast he suggested is lacking in the current NDC.
