"You have been carefully selected for this important work on behalf of our country. The easier part of the job is to follow the prescribed method for altering the constitution. The more challenging aspect, and I can say this without fear of contradiction, is to recommend substantive provisions to add to or replace elements of the current constitution," he noted.

Calls for constitutional reform have been growing, with various stakeholders—including former parliamentarians, the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), and the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG)—advocating for changes to address key governance issues.Dr. Kojo Pumpuni Asante, Director of Policy Engagement and Partnerships at CDD-Ghana, has stressed the need for a multi-stakeholder approach in the review process.
