The Western North Regional Police Command has apprehended two individuals for their involvement in the illegal possession and discharge of firearms during a funeral at Attakrom in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.

Frank Afoko, 41, and Kojo Agyapong, 31, were arrested on April 2, 2025, after police, in collaboration with the Formed Police Unit, launched an investigation into a viral video from March 14, 2025.

The footage showed individuals at the funeral grounds in Attakrom openly displaying and firing firearms.

Following their arrest, the suspects were questioned by the regional investigation team, led by the crime officer, and they both confirmed their presence in the video.

The two individuals are currently in custody, where they are assisting with ongoing investigations. Efforts are also underway to locate additional suspects seen in the viral video who remain at large.
