1 min readRenowned Ghanaian satirist and social commentator Kwaku Sintim-Misa, popularly known as KSM, has praised Sammy Gyamfi's intellect but cautioned that intelligence alone does not guarantee effective leadership.

Reacting to a viral video in which the CEO of the Ghana Gold Board is seen counting and handing over $800 to a controversial Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, known as Nana Agradaa, KSM expressed concern over the optics of the act.

“He’s a very, very intelligent person. But all of that does not mean that you understand the ingredients that make leadership work. Show her class. It's not arrogance,” he said.

He entreated the GoldBod CEO and other young political leaders to recognise the need for class and discipline, especially in their new positions.

“It’s not arrogance. That’s the level that you are. Please don’t take leadership for granted and say, ‘Oh, me, I am a man of the people.’ But levels must be maintained,” he advised.

Meanwhile, there have been growing calls for Sammy Gyamfi to be penalized or removed from office following the viral video incident.

Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have publicly demaded his dismissal, citing concerns over the image and intergrity of public office .

The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah has invited him for questioning and many Ghanaians are closely watching to see what disciplinary actions, if any, will be taken against the Ghana Gold Board CEO.
