The parade to honor The Pogues band leader Shane MacGowan , who died on 30th November, is happening in Dublin.

The singer who sang Fairytale of New York, who was 65 years old, passed away after being diagnosed with encephalitis. His wife Victoria Mary Clarke said he died from pneumonia.

MacGowan's coffin is being taken around the south part of Dublin in a carriage pulled by horses. It is his last journey in the city.

The funeral will be in Nenagh, County Tipperary, near where the singer used to spend his summers as a child, at his mother's family cottage.

Irish President Michael D Higgins and famous music stars are going to be at the event.
