Over the years, rumors have suggested that he has as many as five or six wives, with social media users continuously debating the actual number. However, in a recent interview on Angel FM, Dr. Oteng dismissed these claims, saying, “People say I have six wives; others say five. When did I marry all these women and I’m not even aware of it? I am married to just two women.”

He recalled how misinformation about his personal life spread even during a difficult time—his mother’s funeral. According to him, people wrongly assumed that one of his female friends present at the funeral was the mother of his first daughter.
2
“I remember when my mother died and I was busy mourning. There was this woman who is my friend. She was sitting right next to my wife. My first daughter was also sitting beside them. At the funeral, people said that the lady sitting next to my wife was the mother of my first child. Oh, how?” he recounted, expressing disbelief.
3
Additionally, he mentioned how some attendees speculated that he was taking turns spraying cash on multiple women, whom they assumed were all his wives.
4
The successful entrepreneur admitted that such rumors often leave him astonished but maintained that he rarely responds to them.
5
“Sometimes I hear these lies, and I’m stunned. About 98% of the things said about me out there are lies. I hear all these things but I barely respond to them because if you fight your own fight, God will not fight for you.”
6
When asked why he believes people spread false stories about him, he attributed it to his reserved nature, saying, “I barely speak. It’s true that I have a lot of radio stations, but I even rarely speak on air. It’s not because I can't, but because I don’t like it. That’s why people spill lies about me, and I’m unable to defend myself.”
7
Dr. Oteng also took a swipe at individuals who make a living out of tarnishing his image online.
8
“There are people who can’t even afford toothpaste to brush their teeth but will sit online and insult you. It’s painful. They use me to gain traction and make money from it,” he lamented.
9
The business magnate has frequently found himself at the center of online discussions. His recent divorce from Akua Amoakowaa fueled even more speculation, with people dissecting every aspect of his private life.
10
Additionally, he made headlines when rumors suggested he had demoted his son, Samuel Acheampong, from CEO of Angel Broadcasting Network to a managerial role at Angel FM Kumasi.
11
Dr. Oteng was also linked to Ghanaian actress Tracey Boakye, with some alleging that he was the father of her daughter. He was even rumored to be the infamous ‘Papano’ she was associated with, though there was never any confirmation.
12
Despite the countless rumors, Dr. Oteng has made it clear that he is unbothered by them, choosing to focus on his businesses and family instead.
