Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei expressed his hope that New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, will win on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

Prince David Osei expressed his belief on Thursday on Instagram that Dr. Bawumia is the most worthy candidate to lead the NPP into the Ghanaian general elections in 2024. He addressed the recent upsurge in critical remarks and scepticism regarding Dr. Bawumia's suitability as the NPP's nominee in his post.

He wrote, “I have observed that there is a significant amount of negative comments circulating online regarding the selection of H.E. Dr. Bawumia as the flag bearer of NPP. I find it puzzling that these people express their doubts about his suitability to become president in 2024, yet they are so concerned and attacking him relentlessly. The responsibility to choose a leader lies solely with the delegates and electorate, so this reaction seems unwarranted.”

Prince David Osei went on to suggest that the criticisms and doubts surrounding Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy are indicative of a fear of his potential.

He acknowledged that despite the slanderous comments, he firmly believes that Dr Bawumia is the most deserving candidate to lead the NPP at this time.

“I have faith that victory is assured for Dr Bawumia on November 4th,” he declared.

He concluded by saying, “Forget the noise wai vote No 2 discerning delegates even an ex-president wants to come back to rule Ghana!! So?? 2 sure #itispossible NB: Your insults and trolls won’t change the outcome, please feel free to vent your anger and frustrations devoid of insults .”
