Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Camidoh recently addressed a viral video from last year that showed him smoking an unidentified substance.

During a June 18, 2024, interview with Hitz FM, Camidoh revealed that he resorted to smoking to cope with the emotional pain of a heartbreak.

He acknowledged that the video might have surprised his fans and asked for their understanding, emphasizing that he was experiencing significant personal struggles at the time.

“I won’t deny it. I started smoking to clear my mind,” Camidoh admitted. “It was crucial for me to share the full story. The person you saw in that video was dealing with real pain. If you were disappointed, please know that I was going through a tough time.”

Camidoh made these comments while promoting his new song, 'Nothing Lasts Forever,' which delves into his personal experience of losing a loved one due to misunderstandings.
