Movie producer cum radio presenter Ola Kwaku Michael has provided further updates on renowned journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani 's health following an injury to the eye.

In an interview, Michael revealed that Kofi has gone under the knife seven times and is set for another. He noted that despite the surgeries, some particles of the gun powder remain in the optic nerve in Kofi's eyes.

He stated that doctors are hesitant to tackle that, as that could render Kofi blind. According to him, this has made life unbrearable for Kofi, as he is subjected to headaches daily.

Renowned journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has spoken publicly for the first time since sustaining a serious eye injury, describing the immense pain he continues to endure.

The broadcaster revealed that he has been struggling with severe headaches and constant discomfort, making it difficult for him to rest or sleep despite undergoing multiple medical treatments.

“I want to talk before anything happens. I’m in severe pain with my head aching badly, but I need to speak out before anything happens,” he said, his voice filled with emotion.

Kofi Adomah suffered the injury in December 2024 during a musketry display in Dormaa when gunpowder residue struck his eye. Despite the ordeal, he remained dedicated to his work, continuing to cover the festival before later traveling to Dubai for treatment.

However, he expressed deep disappointment over what he sees as neglect from his own people during his recovery. He also alleged that some traditional leaders in Dormaa attempted to cover up the incident to avoid public scrutiny.

“If anybody will do this to me, I didn’t expect it to come from Bono people,” he lamented.

Despite the challenges, Kofi remains grateful for his survival and extended appreciation to his family and well-wishers for their prayers and support.
