In a recent appearance on United Showbiz on October 26, 2024, he called on churches to actively support their struggling members, warning that a lack of assistance could lead to serious consequences within the community.

During the discussion, Broda Sammy stated, “Some female church members are now engaged in hookups; there is no money.” He criticised churches that encourage donations but fail to use their considerable financial resources to alleviate the hardships of their congregants. He emphasised that the funds collected could be redirected to offer genuine support to those in need.

He argued that this financial stability positions these churches to provide more substantial assistance to their members.

He pointed out, “Some churches have been in existence for more than 50 years. They do not have many expenses because they own most of their property. Some of their members have been selling tomatoes at the markets for years and have been consistently giving their little 1 cedi as an offering but are not getting any help.
