Singer-songwriter 2Lock, formerly known as Nana Fynn, recently spoke about his close relationship with Sarkodie, whom he considers almost like family.
During an interview with Nana Romeo on Ayekoo Ayekoo, 2Lock recalled watching Sarkodie grow up in Tema Community 9 and noted how Sarkodie's early exposure to music, influenced by his mother, shaped his passion for the art.
Describing Sarkodie as "my child," 2Lock emphasized their familial bond, referring to Sarkodie more as a nephew than a brother due to their age difference. Despite the generational gap, 2Lock recognized Sarkodie's exceptional talent from a young age and praised his natural ability as a rapper.
Their collaboration on the track "Forever" was another topic of discussion, with 2Lock sharing how he approached Sarkodie for the project, leading to a productive studio session where they completed the song in one sitting.
He also debunked the notion that Sarkodie is reluctant to collaborate, stating that Sarkodie has always been open to working with others, although his busy schedule can sometimes pose a challenge.
Overall, 2Lock's reflections offered a glimpse into his mentor-like role in Sarkodie's early career and highlighted the rapper's unwavering dedication to his craft, making it clear why he considers Sarkodie a standout talent in the music industry.
