Ghanaian actress Vanessa Nicole has blasted Africa World Airlines after a flight and luggage mix-up caused her to miss the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

In a video that has since gone viral, Nicole demanded the return of her missing luggage and a refund, stating, “how could I possibly be here in Accra while my bag is in Kumasi?” she exclaimed. “This is unacceptable! I don’t care how you resolve it or where you have to fetch it from - I need my bag back and I want my money.”

Nicole's confrontation with airline staff followed a more than six-hour delay, which led to her missing the awards ceremony entirely.

Upon landing in Accra, she discovered that her luggage had mistakenly been sent to Kumasi, further compounding her frustration.

The actress, known for her past relationship with comic actor Funny Face, expressed outrage at what she described as poor treatment of passengers and a lack of communication from the airline.

"I’m not willing to wait a week for this; I need it handled immediately!," she added during the heated encounter.

Vanessa Nicole has planned to attend the 26th edition of the TGMA, held on May 10 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The Incident, however, forved her to miss the event entirely, drawing sympathy and concern from fans online.

Africa Airlines has yet to respond to the matter.
