A radio station based in Rihanna's native Barbados, Starcom Network News, reported that Mr. Fenty died after battling a short illness.

Rihanna's younger brother Rajad Fenty was seen arriving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with Rihanna who was not visibly seen in a vehicle both of them were in.
