Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, says government officials are making it difficult for her to reach the President.
The actress in an interview with Sammy Forson on Joy FMâ€™s â€œPersonality Profileâ€, Thursday, 14th June 2018 said that for some time now she [Yvonne Nelson] has been making efforts to reach the president however, some people around him are making it very difficult.
Yvonne, who has been seen over time in pictures with the first gentleman and lady said she is not happy with what is going on in the country, the government and the creative art industry and at the right time she will address the issues.
The actress who led the #bringbackourlights campaign added that maybe the government is not taking issues seriously and as time goes on, they may become serious.
When asked to highlight some of the issues, Yvonne Nelson in response said that as a tourism ambassador, she was on her way to the Kakum national park and the road network is very terrible to the extent that she almost turned around and for her she doesn’t think anyone has to travel on that terrible road just to go see the Kakum national park.
According to the actress, this could discourage a lot of tourist from visiting the many tourist sites in the country.
When asked if she had the intention of embarking on a road repair campaign, Yvonne Nelson said probably when the time is right and added that politicians do not take entertainers serious until when they [entertainers] start raising their voice before government pays attention to their concerns. For her, she believes that when the time is right, the Nana Addo administration will look their way.
