Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has called on supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop seeing him as a ‘mad man’ for speaking the truth all the time.

Speaking on Accra-based Oman FM as monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com the maverick politician said he is always compared to always come out to speak the truth because he believes Justice must be served in every case.

“I am not mad so stop seeing me as a mad man, the NPP should also know that I don’t speak just like that because I have reputation to protect as well,” he said.

The Assin Central MP said this following claim that some elements within his party are beginning to see him as someone who does not reason before he speaks.

One of such people, he said is the Minority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu who he took to the cleaners for calling on him to back his criticisms against Anas Aremeyaw Anas with evidence.

“If you question his methods, does that mean you should launch a personal blistering attack on the person? Stating emphatically that he is corrupt and so on and so forth. We should be careful, especially us as Members of Parliament,” Mr Kyei Mensah-Bonsu said on Accra-based Citi FM.

Ken Agyapong’s conduct angered both members of the Majority and Minority and agreed he be hauled before the Privileges Committee of Parliament for breaching the laws of the House.

“They think I talk too much, but they should I also reason before I talk, I have a reputation to protect…,” he said.
