It was a spectacle at the St. Peter’s Methodist Church in Accra when the new Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) laid prostrate before the altar in appreciation to God for how far he has brought him.
Mr Stephen Ntim who had joined the congregation to fellowship ceased the opportunity to express his profound gratitude to the Lord and also the Leaders and members of the church who had supported him since the beginning of his journey to become Chairman of the party.
“In my own special way of thanking the Almighty God for taking me this far, I will lay down prostrate in the presence of the Lord,†he said and proceeded to lie in front of the altar.
Some family members and other party executives who were all clad in white and had accompanied him to the service could not help but join him on the ground.
