Veteran Ghanaian actress, Adwoa Smart born Belinda Naa Ode Oku, has disclosed that some secular songs are much better than gospel songs.

Speaking to Doctor Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, she said’ “ I like every song, I like Gospel especially worship songs.”

“I also enjoy all kinds of music, if only it sounds good. I also like my gospel worship songs but there are some secular songs like reggae that have very deep lyrics as compare to some gospel songs,” she added.

Adwoa Smart expressed concern about how sometimes people classify Reggae songs as bad.

She said, “people classify Reggae as bad songs, as wee songs, as Akpeteshie songs, but if you take your time and listen to the words you will realize that it’s a gospel song,” she revealed.

Adwoa Smart has starred in a number of television dramas and movies. She became famous in the early ’90s where she is featured in popular television drama Obra.
