Release ‘dirt’ you have on me – Muntaka dares Ken Agyapong

Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak has called the bluff of what is being viewed as a veiled threat towards him from the Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong.

Speaking in Parliament on Friday, Kennedy Agyapong suggested that he had some dirt on Muntaka Mubarak.

“I want to remind him [Muntaka Mubarak] of what he told me to go and tell Ursula [Owusu-Ekuful],” Kennedy Agyapong said before the press.
But speaking on Eyewitness News, Muntaka Mubarak said MPs could attest to the fact he never talks with Kennedy Agyapong, despite the claims.

He stressed that he has never been cosy with Assin Central MP because of “the way he behaves.”

“Nobody in Parliament will ever tell you that they have seen him and me even holding hands and chatting. He should say whatever he is saying. I have never had any chat with him because he is not a friend.”

He stated that he did not fear Kennedy Agyapong or whatever information he purported to have and dared the New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand to make his move.

“I don’t think anybody is afraid of him. Nobody is afraid of him because nobody eats from his home and for him to say if I dare him. I am daring him now. I am daring Hon. [Kennedy Agyapong],” Muntaka Mubarak said.

These remarks came after Kennedy Agyapong called Muntaka Mubarak “dumb” for referring him to Parliament’s Privileges Committee over purported insults on Friday.

Before Friday’s comments, Kennedy Agyapong is reported to have described the House as “useless” for having Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu as its Majority leader on Accra-based Net2 TV, which belongs to the Assin Central MP.

These comments compelled Muntaka Mubarak to file a motion to refer Kennedy Agyapong to Parliament’s Privileges Committee.

Muntaka Mubarak called for the Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, to be suspended from Parliament for the rest of 2018.

The Asawase MP believe Kennedy Agyapong’s recent conduct was unfit for someone in the legislature.

“You have the right to make your views in the strongest terms that you can, but you don’t have the right to be insulting people all around,” he said on Eyewitness News.
