Police nab suspected notorious robber ‘Demon Town’ and accomplice after viral threatening video

Police in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region have successfully apprehended two suspected robbers, one of whom is notorious as ‘Demon Town,’ after a viral video showed them issuing threats to stab anyone resisting their attempts to snatch belongings.

In the video, one of the suspects is heard menacingly stating, “Have you seen the bag behind me? We are going to gather and deposit you in there. For pistol for real, if you don’t leave it, we are stabbing you. Demon, won’t you tell them?” Following a brief intervention by his cutlass-wielding ally, he continues, “Look at my dreadlocks, look at it, do you need to be told? Aputuogya gangsters, this is who we are, we will stab the eye of anyone who resists.”

Acting on a tip-off, personnel from the Kuntenase District Police Patrol team raided a house in Aputuogya, where the suspects were believed to be hiding.

Suspect Ibrahim Mohammed, 23 years old, featured prominently in the viral video, was handed over to the police by the town folks who had earlier raided the house. During interrogation, he claimed to hail from Adansi Fomena Kusa but currently resides in Madina, Accra. He stated that he was invited to the Bosomtwe District about a month ago by the other suspect in the video, identified as Kwame Sarpong, a distant family member.
