Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur has asked Madam Charlotte Osei to hold her head up high because “reformed and revolutionised the Electoral Commission as its First Female Chairman”.
The EC chair, Charlotte Osei and her two deputies Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwah were dismissed with immediate effect by the President on Thursday.
The decision follows recommendation by a committee set up by the Chief Justice to investigate allegaitons brought against them.
Madam Oye Lithur in reaction to this, took to social media and wrote: “You still remain our most erudite lawyer, God fearing public servant who reformed and revolutionised the Electoral Commission as its First Female Chairman. You superintended over the best elections ever in 2016. You have made all women in Ghana proud! You served your nation well!!! You are a shinning star and example”.
